TumbleDrop is the iPhone port of the excellent browser physics-based puzzle game from last year.
On each level you'll find a punk star supported by various yellow shapes. These can be removed by tapping them, which is what you have to do until the star lands safely on the platform below.
Surrounding the platform is water, and if your star falls in, you have failed the level. You have to wait a couple of seconds between tapping each shape you remove, so you can't quickly tap all of them out of existence. Once the structure starts to tumble you don't have much opportunity to fix things if they're going wrong!
TumbleDrop has really cute graphics, with excellent, subtle sound effects. The controls are really simple, and everyone will understand this moments after picking it up. The ten levels in this free version aren't difficult, but to extend the experience you can replay levels trying to get the lowest number of moves before completion.
There are medals available if you complete a level in three moves or less, and it's satisfying when you find a way of quickly tumbling the star to its platform.
TumbleDrop is a charming, well designed and really attractive puzzle game that everyone will enjoy. The free version is very short, but still worth downloading.
